What is it?
A fantastic opportunity to develop KS2, 3, 4 & 5 student engagement in STEM subjects at your school.
How does it work?
Working in teams students design, make and test a rocket powered car. This will involve tackling a variety of engineering challenges. Teams can also be entered into National and International competitions.
How can you get involved?
There are two ways your school can get involved:
Option 1: Set up your own Rocket Car club. Resources can be bought online and cost around £10 per car. You will have access to online resources and support from staff at The Redhill Academy to help you design and manufacture cars at your own school. You can then attend one of the race events that are held at The Redhill Academy each term to launch your rocket cars.
Option 2 (Ideal for KS2 Students): Redhill staff can visit your school and deliver a one day workshop to your students. This will involve setting up a test track at your school for students to launch the rocket cars. Cost – £14 per student (based on students working in pairs)
