Are you an outstanding middle or senior leader with experience of supporting others in similar positions either within your own school or at other schools?
If so, you may be interested in applying to join the Redhill SLE team. Our SLEs are committed to the sharing of good practice both across the RTSA and beyond through a variety of methods; organising and facilitating networks, delivering CPD sessions and mentoring and coaching other professionals and teams.
Successful applicants will receive a full day of core training, after which you will be ready for your first deployment.
Why join the RTSA SLE team?
The alliance is fully committed to raising the achievement of the young people in our schools and beyond. Our SLEs share this goal and are proud to be instrumental in having an impact on young people’s lives through the sharing of their expertise.
Which areas of expertise are we looking for?
We are keen to accept applications from all outstanding practitioners, regardless of specialism or area of expertise. In order to complement our current team, we would be particularly interested in applications from practitioners with the following areas of expertise: Key Stage 1, Primary Assessment, Humanities and Computer Science.
For those who are interested in becoming an SLE but who lack external school-to-school support experience, we will endeavour to arrange an opportunity to shadow an experienced SLE to provide this external support experience, enabling them to apply at the next round.
We would expect SLEs to be deployed for up to 15 days a year.
How to apply
You will need to submit an application form to Rebecca Seadon, Teaching School Manager at The Redhill Academy, email@example.com, with the full support of your Headteacher. Interviews will be held on the date above and part of this process will include a short presentation to the panel highlighting support work you have undertaken either within your own school or beyond.
